Ed Parrish, P.E.

Ed is the President of Parrish & Partners and is responsible for overall management of the firm, as well as business development and client relations. As the former President and co-founder of The LPA Group Incorporated, a nationally recognized aviation consulting firm, Ed is not new to the engineering industry. He has nearly four decades of experience in the planning, design, and construction management of airport, highway, and bridge projects. Ed graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and holds Professional Engineering licenses in forty-seven states, including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Ed is also affiliated with many organizations, including: American Society of Civil Engineers; Institute of Transportation Engineers; National Society of Professional Engineers; Airport Consultants Council (Board Chair 2003); and Airport Consultants Council (Board of Governors 1999-2004).

Jeff Kirby, P.E.
Senior Vice President

As a Senior Vice President with Parrish & Partners, Jeff is responsible for all aviation related activities within the firm, including overall technical guidance, project management, client relations, and business development. He has worked in the aviation industry for over twenty-two years assisting clients in development projects ranging from small pavement rehabilitation projects to completely new airports and runways. While serving in the role of on-call consultant at numerous airports, Jeff has gained a full understanding of airport design and construction requirements, FAA and state grant processes, and capital project improvement plan development and implementation. Jeff graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and holds Professional Engineering licenses in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Cameron Nations, P.E.
Senior Vice President

Cameron is a Senior Vice President with Parrish & Partners and is responsible for the firm’s surface transportation operations. Cameron has over 17 years of design and construction experience in the surface transportation and aviation industries. He has served as Project Manager and/or Lead Design Engineer for design-build and design-bid-build projects including “turn-key” bridge replacements, major interstate widening and rehabilitations, and multi-million dollar statewide bridge improvement programs. His areas of expertise are in project management, bridge engineering, structural analysis and evaluation, bridge inspection and load rating, and seismic design. Cameron received a Civil Engineering B.S. degree from Clemson University and a Civil Engineering M.E. degree from the University of South Carolina. He holds Professional Engineering licenses in Florida, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Michael Floyd
Vice President – Aviation Planning and Consulting Services

Michael, Vice President – Aviation Planning and Consulting Services with Parrish & Partners, brings to the firm twenty-seven years of program and project management experience. While Director of Planning for the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for six years, Michael managed over 300 projects totaling more than six billion dollars. His extensive experience ranges from master and system planning to environmental related planning, and from site-specific conceptual planning to program management services. Michael has developed vision, mission, and organizational goals and objectives for multiple airport programs. He graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Aviation Management. Michael is affiliated with the American Planning Association, American Association of Airport Executives, Airports Council International – North America, and Airport Consultants Council.

Don Freeman, P.E.

Don, a Principal with Parrish & Partners, is responsible for client relations, business development, and Quality Assurance. His responsibilities include developing and implementing quality management procedures and systems and ensuring that each project meets these standards. Don is a former State Highway Engineer who was employed by SCDOT for over thirty-one years. His extensive construction experience provides unique insight into the issues that can surface during the design and construction phases of projects. Don has worked in the consulting engineering industry for the past eight years. Throughout his career, he has become an expert in the engineering industry, offering clients solutions while building lasting working relationships. Don graduated from the University of South Carolina with a M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering and a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He holds a Professional Engineering license in the state of South Carolina. He is also the Chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies of South Carolina (2013/2014).

Paula Hochstetler
Senior Consultant

Paula is a Senior Consultant with Parrish & Partners. With 34 years of in-depth experience and leadership in the aviation industry on local, national, and global levels, she provides unique regulatory, technical, legislative, and strategic perspectives to the firm and its clients. Paula’s extensive network among federal agencies and private sector leaders enhances the firm’s ability to strategically find optimum solutions for complex project-related challenges. As president of the Airport Consultants Council for 20 years, she is adept at establishing alliances and developing credible, collaborative, and innovative opportunities. As an aviation consultant for 14 years, Paula advised leaders from major hub to general aviation airports on airside, landside, terminal, land use, environmental, capacity, forecasting, system planning, and funding issues. Paula graduated from Purdue University with B.A. and M.S. degrees.

Will Plentl, P.E.
Senior Consultant

Will is a Senior Consultant with Parrish & Partners, offering his guidance to ensure appropriate resources are used to best benefit airports and surrounding communities through interaction with various stakeholders. Will has more than forty-six years of aviation engineering and consulting experience and a proven history of improving airport operations and increasing profitability. Will previously held the position of Deputy Aviation Director at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Airport Director at the Wilmington International Airport, and Aviation Director at NCDOT. Will graduated from the Virginia Military Institute with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and completed some graduate studies in Civil Engineering at North Carolina State University. Will holds Professional Engineering licenses in Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia. He has had affiliations or lifetime memberships with many organizations throughout his career, including serving as President of the North Carolina Airports Association.

Mark Friendly
Chief Financial Officer

Mark is Parrish & Partners’ Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for the business management of the firm, including financial management, project accounting, overhead audits, and insurance/risk management. Mark has over twenty years of experience in the transportation infrastructure field. He has assisted a diverse group of clients including general aviation airports, air carrier airports, and various state departments of transportation, counties, and municipalities. He has a thorough understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and its application for the firm’s clients. Mark graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Master of Accountancy degree and a B.S. in Business Administration. He holds a CPA license and is a credentialed Certified Valuation Analyst. Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

Chad Rogers, P.E.
Operations Manager/Principal

As Operations Manager and Principal, Chad is responsible for the management of Parrish & Partners’ Charlotte, North Carolina office and staff located in the Greater Charlotte area; management of surface transportation projects; and surface transportation business development primarily in North Carolina at the state and local levels. He has extensive experience in roadway and drainage design on projects ranging from local city thoroughfares to multi-million dollar freeway facilities. He has served as Project Manager and Lead Design Engineer for design-build and design-bid-build projects throughout the Southeast. Chad received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He holds Professional Engineering licenses in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Adam Parrish, P.E.
Senior Project Manager/Principal

Serving as a Senior Project Manager/Principal with Parrish & Partners, Adam is responsible for designing and managing projects from conception to completion. His ability to lead the design team to accomplish tasks on-time ensures repeat business by exceeding clients’ expectations. Throughout his engineering career, Adam has proven to be extremely versatile in civil related projects from aviation design to bridge design throughout the Southeast. His role in designing and leading bridge projects illustrates a wide range of experience dealing with the requirements of various state departments of transportation. He has experience with prestressed concrete, structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, seismic analysis, drainage structures, bridge inspection, bridge load rating, aviation light detailing, and construction support. Adam graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and holds Professional Engineering licenses in Alabama, California, Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
