Roadway Designer – Columbia, SC
This position is responsible for roadway design and plan preparation of local, regional, and statewide projects within South Carolina. The individual should enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and possess the communication skills necessary to coordinate with other design disciplines.

Duties:
• Collecting and analyzing project data
• Leading or assisting in the development of roadway plans, specifications, design calculations, and technical documents
• Calculating quantities and developing cost estimates
• Producing a complete Roadway plan set
• Scheduling of design tasks and assignments
• Working with other design disciplines

Qualifications:
• 8+ years’ experience in the field of civil engineering specializing in roadway design for county, municipal and highway
• Proficiency with AASHTO and SCDOT roadway design guidelines
• Proficiency using MicroStation/GEOPAK and Microsoft Excel.
• SCDOT highway design experience, Design-Build experience a plus
• GEOPAK Corridor Modeling experience a plus

Roadway Engineer – Columbia, SC
Parrish & Partners is seeking a roadway engineer or roadway EIT for its Columbia, SC office. This position will be responsible for performing roadway design and overseeing design staff for various transportation improvement projects, including bridge replacements, interchanges, roadway widening, and new location projects. The individual will set horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, and develop cross sections. The person hired will also be responsible for coordinating design activities with various disciplines such as utilities, traffic control designers, geotechnical, structural designers, and others.

Qualifications:
• BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited curriculum with an emphasis in transportation/highway engineering
• EIT certification required, PE certification preferred
• Open to entry level candidates, but prefer 6 to 8 years of highway design/transportation engineering experience
• Experience using MicroStation, GEOPAK, and Corridor Modeling preferred
• Design-Build experience a plus
